The honest version of a return policy. Short, and worth reading.
Fourteen days, no questions
Every piece from the IDÉE Pieces collection can be returned within fourteen days of delivery, for any reason. We collect the piece at our cost. We refund the price in full.
If you used Re-IDÉE enrolment, the enrolment fee transfers to your next IDÉE piece — it does not refund. The buy-back guarantee is tied to a piece, not a price.
What can't be returned
Two categories of piece are made specifically for you and cannot be returned:
Customization
Custom commissions are designed for your space, your dimensions, your idea. We work closely with you on the design before the build begins; once the workshop has started cutting wood, the piece is yours.
Curated pieces
Pieces from other makers — our IDÉE Beyond selection — are subject to the return policies of their original makers. We'll point you to the right policy on each product page, and help arrange the return if needed.
If a piece arrives damaged
This is not a return — it's a repair. We collect the piece at our cost, refurbish it in the workshop, and return it. Most repairs take ten days. There is no charge.
The structural guarantee on every IDÉE-made piece is for the lifetime of the piece. If a joint loosens, a seam splits, a leg cracks — we fix it. The chair you buy is the chair you keep.
If a piece doesn't suit the room after a year
This is what Re-IDÉE is for.
If you enrolled the piece in Re-IDÉE at checkout, you can return it to us at any year-marker — one, five, ten — for the guaranteed buy-back value. We collect the piece, refurbish it, and pass it on to a second owner. You apply the value to whatever comes next.
How to start a return
Email hello@idee-store.com with your order number and a sentence about why — we ask only because the answer often helps us improve. We'll arrange collection within five working days.
